Manhasset Bay Yacht Club enjoys a prime waterfront location, featuring a classic federal style clubhouse, and comfortable rooms for social occasions, as well as inn rooms for club guests.

With a history of more than 120 years as a leader in the yachting world, Manhasset Bay Yacht Club is a unique place for families to relax, meet friends, enjoy sailing, the pool, tennis, and fine dining in The Grill Room, Bay room, Lower and Upper Terraces.

The Club offers an extensive array of activities for everyone in the family. There are children's activities including The Spinnaker Program, Junior Sailing, Swim Team and Tennis.

The Spinnaker Program is for children from ages 5 to 9. The program runs Monday through Friday, for seven weeks, and features, sailing, swimming, tennis, arts and crafts. The Junior Sailing Program, for children from ages 9 to 18, incorporates sailing tennis and participation on the swim team. The swim team competes with teams from neighboring clubs.

For adult members wishing to learn to sail, the Ideal 18 program is available at a modest fee, with instruction available. The program has a fleet of 18' sail boats, which can be sailed single-handed or with a crew of four. Members reserve sail time. This is a great way to learn while thinking of purchasing a boat of one's own.

Adult sailing includes the Manhasset Bay One Design Fleet, the Sonar Fleet, as well as the Ideal 18s. Competitive racing occurs each weekend, and regattas and special events are scheduled throughout the late spring and summer and into the fall. Wednesday evenings in the summer includes Ladies' Sailing, and a highlight of the fall is the Manhasset Bay Fall Series, hosted for two weekends in October, when upwards of 100 boats compete on Long Island Sound and in Manhasset Bay. Winter sailing, called frostbiting, is a long tradition and Manhasset Bay is the home of the Frostbite YC.

Other activities include the heated pool (extends the swim season to late September), tennis (5 har-tru courts), paddle tennis and trapshooting. There are parties for children - such as the children's Halloween Party, Brunch with Santa and the Easter Egg Hunt. Adult members enjoy a number of special evening events, such as Raft Up at the dock, when everyone visits members' boats tied to the dock while having cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. This is followed by a barbeque with music and dancing poolside.

The Women's Committee hosts luncheons, dinners and holiday boutiques, plus the women decorate the Club as a showcase for the holidays Members use the Club as "Their Home Away from Home"--an extension of their living room. The Club is also available to members for special occasion’s parties, weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries.
